Negroni Sbagliato Recipe

It took 40 years and a viral Tik Tok by House of the Dragon actor, Emma D’Arcy, for this refreshing Milanese classic to become a contemporary hit.

Legend has it that during a busy aperitivo hour at Milan’s central Bar Basso, bartender Mirko Stocchetto mistakenly added Prosecco instead of gin to a Negroni, resulting in the birth of the Sbagliato cocktail.

Sbagliato means “mistaken” in Italian. While the story may sound too good to be true, we are just happy that Mirko didn’t think twice.

You will need these ingredients:

1 Part    Red Vermouth
1 Part    Campari
1 Part    FIOL Prosecco

And it is super easy to make:

  1. Stir the red vermouth and Campari in a glass filled with ice cubes.
  2. Top up with FIOL Prosecco.
  3. Garnish with a slice or twist of orange.

Typically served in a rocks glass or an Old-Fashioned glass.
